if you can't say something nice......

...you know the rest.
When I think of writing about what is going on, I'm too frustrated to write. It's typically when I'm aggravated that I actually sit down to the keyboard to say something, and then I'm sure I'll regret it if I type what comes to mind.

My husband is not keeping up. He is so detached from what is going on in this house that when he does try to tell someone else "how things are" he mixes up the facts until they are unrecognizable.

"That's me in the corner............. oh no, I've said too much."

Hopefully, H gets it right?

Are you going to get a new Patron Saint for 2012? I drew the St Bernard with the dogs (patron of skiers, the Alps, and mountain climbers, none of which I do). Go figure.

(I always liked that song, but never could figure out whether it really was about apostasy.)

That's so hard. This has to at the top of the list of "things that stress your marriage". Of course, those very same things are the ones that strengthen it in the end. Hang in there! We're praying for you and all of your precious peeps.

I've discovered that women are a lot tougher than our guys in some ways. We moms are right in the middle of the fight when it comes to our children. When our oldest split his head open at age 3, I was the one beside him, holding his hand and comforting him while the doctor stitched him up. My husband was the one the doctor told to lie down on the floor because he was about to faint. When they drilled through the bone to put a pin in our youngest's broken leg, I was the one holding his hand and watching his face while his dad hid behind a newspaper, trying to pretend none of it was happening. Trying to remain "detached" is the only way they know to cope with their feelings. Hugs and prayers for all of you.

Thanks, Ladies. Yes, Pam, H 'gets it.' My new patron saint is St. Blaze. Weird, huh?
Alice,
That which does not destroy us, makes us stronger.
Kalona, he's always been there in an emergency. I guess it just took him longer to get his head wrapped around this, because this time, 'it' wasn't fixed in the emergency room. Thank you for encouragement.

St Blaise's feastday is for healing of diseases of the throat "and any other ailments". One year, I was healed miraculously from a bad depression, after being prayed over with the candles.

Thank you, Pam. That is very good to know.
