I'm putting things into perspective and will write in more detail later.
For now, my week with my boy:
Sunday he was climbing trees.
Monday he awoke with a stomach ache and pain in his legs.
Tuesday he still hurt, so we took him to the doctor.
She drew blood.
Wednesday she called and directed us to go to TX Children's Hospital immediately.
Wednesday night he was diagnosed with Leukemia.
Thursday they withdrew bone marrow from him.
Friday we learned that he has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. pre-B cell.
This is the easiest type of Leukemia to treat, and has the best prognoses.
Friday night he received a round of chemo-therapy.
Saturday night, it's Christmas eve, and I am sitting in a hospital room- just me and my boy.
and I am very thankful.
Merry Christmas.
